There really is something for everyone; irrespective of your age, experience, flexibility or strength. The yoga we teach here is about challenging our limits; physically, mentally and learning to breathe through it.

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise and meditation that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental well being. Experience these benefits for yourself - we hope to see you on the mat soon!

We are confident that our classes will change the way you look at health, fitness and meditation but mostly yourself and your wellbeing.

Yoga is essentially a series of postures designed to improve strength, flexibility and balance whist quietening the mind. Yoga is more than a physical workout, that's why it's addictive! It allows us to find calm and tranquility in the midst of the madness of our busy urban lives. Yoga has been around for centuries and is practiced by millions. The longevity and popularity of yoga are testament to the host of benefits attributed to it.

A regular yoga practice will help you achieve:
  • Increased fitness and stamina
  • Weight loss and increased muscle tone
  • Heal and prevent sports injuries
  • Improve digestion
  • Muscular pain relief & increased postural awareness
  • Decreased depression, anxiety and stress
  • Improved sleep quality and reduced insomnia
  • Increase concentration and focus in life

FAQ

The temperature of the the studio will be set to between 24-28 degrees, nowhere near the 40-43 degrees of bikram. The temperature we set the studio at is designed to minimise injury, gently aid flexibility and encourage the body to sweat and release toxins.

We provide mats; you are welcome to bring your own. We encourage you to bring a yoga towel to use on the mat. We sell these or they can be purchased easily online.

Yoga is practiced bare foot or you may choose to wear special grip yoga socks. Clothing wise; normal gym gear.

We have 2 changing rooms; the female changing rooms has two showers and the male changing room 1. We provide small pocket lockers for the safe storage of phones and purses or wallets.

We encourage you to let your teacher know if you have a condition or injury you might need to work around; they will offer advice and modifications. Yoga is proven to benefit many conditions ranging from chronic illness, sports injuries and pregnancy. The key is to listening to your body.

So that all yogis can practice in a calm and safe environment we would encourage you to use the following guidelines:

  • We are a shoe free studio. Please take off your shoes after passing reception.
  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your class. Unfortunately there is no admission for latecomers.
  • Please do not chat during classes. Equally, please leave the class quietly as some yogis use this time for quiet meditation.
  • Should you become fatigued in class, feel free to rest in child's pose for as long as you need.
  • No phones or electrical devices in the studio; please be mindful of your fellow yogis.
  • Closed water bottles are allowed in the studio but as you become more practiced we encourage yogis to take water before and after class, not during.
